This is a proposed private residence on the outskirts of Calicut, for a young family of three.

The design incorporates a curved entry through the driveway, highlighted by curved walls that welcome the visitor into the entry foyer of the house.

A shallow pond flanks one side of the entrance doorway to instil a sense of calm upon entry into the house.

The upper floor has multiple open balconies that take in the views of the surrounding greenery without compromising on the occupants’ privacy. Large openings and sliding glass doors protected by deep overhangs ensure a flooding of pleasant daylight into the house throughout the day, along with ample natural ventilation and cooling.
